In server-based computing the bottleneck is often print jobs, which can be painfully slow and even clog up the network. ThinPrint is the technology that addresses this concern most effectively by enabling bandwidth control and reduction of print job size.
The Creo IAPS ThinPrint is an external print server with an embedded ThinPrint .print Client Gateway.
The IAPS ThinPrint is a ThinPrint .print Client Gateway allowing you to deploy ThinPrint technology in an already established network printer installation - without having to fiddle with the printers or the network. Instead of requiring that ThinPrint .print Client software be installed for each target printer, a .print Client Gateway allows you to support many target printers from one central place. The IAPS ThinPrint can receive and decompress print jobs for up to 64 printers, distributing them over TCP as native print jobs. This solution can be used with just about any standard network printer or multi-function digital copier, from small-scale desktop printers to heavy-duty production printers. The IAPS ThinPrint copes with even very large print jobs, thus keeping the network strain at a minimum without loss of printing functionality and speed.
