It was nice to start out in the real world after 5 years' studies. I have worked at Intermate since October 2006 and really enjoy being here. Most of my time is spent on application development - including everything from design to coding. My projects have focused on two of our business areas: Document Management and Printer Connectivity. A development engineer doesn't just design and code software. You also need to take responsibility and exercise a lot of self-discipline. Right from the start I was given a high degree of influence on how projects are planned and carried out. You could even say I was my own project manager. Each project involves several key people from all parts of the company, so it's important to have a good grasp of the total picture and know when to involve your colleagues.
One of the things I really appreciate about Intermate is how helpful everyone is. The atmosphere is up-beat, informal and relaxed. Intermate's working arrangements are very family-friendly and flexible. This removes stress from the working day. |
