IPDS Ultra Tool suite

IPDS Ultra test and support tools The Intermate IPDS Ultra technology is supplemented by a comprehensive suite of PC based tools for the following usage areas:

• IPDS integration and debugging
• IPDS testing and quality assurance
• IPDS Pre-sales support
• IPDS After-sales support

The tools have been developed with the following objectives in mind:

• Reduce development time.
• Increase product testing efficiency and quality.
• Reduce time for collecting info and solve support cases
• Reduce need for specialized IPDS knowledge
• Reduce cost associated with pre-sales and after-sales support

Not only have the tools proven to meet these objectives, but have furthermore helped eliminate the general impression of IPDS being complex and mysterious. Subsequently this has increased the motivation to focus on the great opportunities in the AFP/IPDS printing market segments.

Packaged Support and Test kits

To further help our OEM customers, the tools have been organized in three packaged tool kits, which have been supplemented with documentation, links to related information, test files and more. Three kits exist, which includes selections of tool and information for three distinct roles that we have identified :

• IPDS SupportKit.
  Aimed at our partner's 1st and 2nd level support organization. Include tools to capture and replay IPDS jobs, as well as tools and information to test and verify printer configurations.
• IPDS Testkit.
  Aimed at our OEM partner's test department and second level support organization. The kit includes tools to analyze and replay IPDS data streams, as well as a more comprehensive test suite.
• IPDS TestkitPro.
  Aimed at our OEM partner's development department. The kit includes tools to analyze and edit IPDS data streams to test implementation specific functions. Apart from a complete integration verification test suite, the kit also included a suite of IPDS test file generators.
