Question: I cannot connect or browse the print server with http or ping after a reset or upgrade. What is wrong?

Answer: It should be possible to contact the print server from a web browser eventhough it will not print properly. If you cannot browse the print server (or if the IP address is set to zero), you can use the IMCU on the utility CD (or download it from our support web) , to get contact with the print server. Note that the IMCU Agent must reside on the same segment as the print server.
Rescue mode (only Intermate 101):
In some rare cases the device can boot up in rescue mode after a reset or a firmware upgrade. The device seems okay, and is replying to a ping command, but the browser cannot connect via http. When the device boots up in rescue mode, the device has a problem. The only way to detect the problem is via the IMCU.
Intermate Management and Configuration Unit (IMCU):
The IMCU is a useful diagnostic and configuration tool, which allows you to connect to any print server on your network with a mac address, even though the device doesn't have a valid ip adress. You can view and configure the device, and even update the firmware from the IMCU.
