Q:Intermate100 printer status not displayed correctly in ECP mode
|
Question: When connecting my Intermate100 to a Lexmark printers parallel port in ECP mode the printer status displayed
under Target Printer Info in the Status section remains as "Printing" even though the job has been completed.

Answer: The Intermate100 configuration option "PJL Printer Status Feedback Frequency" can be used to solve this problem.
When setting this option to 0 seconds the Intermate100 instructs the printer at power up, only to report the status when there is a change on the printer. If one of the available time settings is selected the Intermate100 will
request status from the printer with the intervals seleted.
A setting of 5 seconds will solve the problem with the Lexmark printers.
