Release notes for Launcher (P21) v 3.4 - 21 Dec. 2006 ******************************************************************** About the Appliance Launcher ---------------------------- The Appliance Launcher is a Windows utility that makes it easy to make contact and give initial configurations to selected Intermate network devices. One of the most important reasons for using the Appliance Launcher is that it allows a user or technician "in the field" to make contact with a network device and perform basic configuration. As a solution administrator, you do, however, have the responsibility to provide the user with the settings to be used. Intermate provides "Settings sheets" to help you structure information for the user. To use the Appliance Launcher, the PC running it must be on the same physical network as the Appliance itself (through a hub or switch - or directly attached to the appliance with a cross over cable). The Appliance Launcher uses UDP and is therefore independent of the IP settings of the PC and the appliances to be discovered. ******************************************************************** ******************************************************************** This Release: ------------- - Version 3.4 (build 324) adds support for the SIG6e, WinSIG6.
